Objective: Find out why they drank/used and the cost of it.
Content In Session: Practicing mindfulness, self-reflection, and avoiding external validation. Ask deep questions on why they drank/used, discover the underlying reason.

Objective: Find out what they believe in.
Content In Session: History of beliefs and how they got to believe what they believe now, what challenged their beliefs growing up, what would they like to believe in?

Objective: Find a way to release (let it go).
Content In Session: Are they ready to give up the fight? Dive deep into why or why not. Discuss ways to release that are good for them - what has worked for them in the past (that were healthy), and what new ideas they have that are healthy. Discuss potential new hobbies.

Objective: Discover that they are where they are because of their own actions.
Content In Session: Ask questions that make them reflect and see what they could have done differently in every situation they encountered. Move through forgiveness for what they’ve done and forgive others for their mistakes. Say it out loud. Find out triggers, discuss them thoroughly.

Objective: Discover what their old habits are, become aware of them.
Content In Session: Dive deep into what their habits are, where they came from, and what purpose do they/did they serve? Discuss anger, loneliness, isolation, and harmful behaviors.

Objective: Add, edit, delete old habits + Notice, shift, re-wire technique
Content In Session: Come up with new habits and why they will be good for them (tying it to their overall goal), anchor new habits to old habits, and use ADE and Notice, shift, and re-wire techniques.

Objective: Develop new habits and integrate them daily until they stick. 21-90 days- habit sticks.
Content In Session: Continuation from last week, but focus on how they are going to implement the new habits and hold themselves accountable. Study a cue, a routine, and a reward and how habits work.

Objective: Find new ways to communicate with themselves and others around them. First with themselves, then with friends and family.
Content In Session: Discuss affirmations, journaling, reflection and the importance of each of those when it comes to communication with themselves. Then discuss communication tactics for friends and family.

Objective: Find out how to love themselves. This may be through hobbies, work, extra-curricular activities, and the importance of making time for themselves to explore these..
